Shadow Play: Tree of Life
- an augmented reality art project

Project Overview
Utilizing folk art visual language and augmented reality technology on mobile device, "Tree of Life" metaphorically visualizes cultural coexistence. "Tree of Life," a universal symbol found in spiritual and mythological traditions around the globe, often signifies connections, vitality and bountifulness.  A project specifically designed for Jamaica neighborhood in Queens, NY, it highlights the extraordinary demographic diversity and colorful folk art traditions associated with the communities including African American, immigrants from South America and Caribbean, Africa, and South Asia, with total population over 200,000.
