The piece “merry go around” reflects 2008 Sichuan Earthquake in China, particularly in memory of thousands of students died in the devastating disaster. The background with school rumbles is composed with Honglei’s oil paintings based on pictures of the earthquake ruins. The merry-go-around is covered by 2008 Beijing Olympic swimming pool "water cube." Underneath is the flooded city mimicing the condition at Three Gorge Dams.
